Mr. Cammis:

Mr. Cammis:
I am indeed flattered to get a personal response. I did “tackle” tying this particular pattern after watching your video a few times and getting my gear together and organized. This past Sunday I was able to catch two very nice blue gills from some flooded weeds, as well as the back of my right ear. (I was a bit excited about catching a fish on my own fly and fumbled my cast!) I always mash the barbs, though, so both fish and I were easily released.
Thanks again.

Excellent series, Mr. Cammis! I had considered tying my own flies for quite some time but the explanations I’ve read in books were kind of confusing. These videos are very clear. Thanks!
